Come meet poet Joel R. Solonche, a Professor Emeritus of English at SUNY Orange. Joel has written several books and has been nominated for the Eric Hoffer Book Award, the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. He is a Hudson Valley local, actively involved with charities, including the Hudson Valley Food Bank. Here, he’ll be giving a poetry reading – a mix of old and new – on a variety of subjects. He’ll introduce each poem with a brief note on how it came to be. After the reading, he’ll take questions and mingle.
